Abstrakt: The article focuses on the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, one of the defining episodes of the Cold War. According to the author, the Cuban Missile Crisis brought the world to the brink of a potential nuclear war. The author believes that in this crisis, there was no outright victor or loser. Historian Zbigniew Brzezinksi notes that the crisis was a tactical victory for the U.S. and a strategic victory for the Soviet Union.
