The authors discuss the use of videoconferencing for clinical site evaluations. They discuss the findings of an unscientific, informal trial of 5 videoconferencing platforms conducted by the Physician Assistant Education Association's (PAEA's) Clinical Education Committee (CEC), subcommittee on Technology. Criteria for hardware and platform selection are discussed. It is concluded that videoconferencing offers an effective and efficient alternative for performing clinical site evaluations. |
