| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the application of genetics and genome mapping to the study, diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic malocclusion. Based on several studies, Class III malocclusion and tooth eruption may be situated within the spectrum of orthodontic problems that have genetic etiology. Researchers believe that treatment options for these conditions could be developed based on specific genetic characteristics and using bioengineered technologies. |
