Abstrakt:	The article focuses on the functional aspects of different religious phenomenon in context with the catholic culture in which rituals have a very important role to play. It presents a survey regarding the manifold dimensions that form the religious phenomenon. The result showed that regular churchgoers have become very less to almost non-existent in some countries. It also investigates the basis of the gap that differentiates ritual models and some practices of liturgical and para-liturgical ritual practices taking place within the religion.
