The article discusses the protection of two billion trees in Scotland with only one per cent of the former Great Caledonian Forest remaining. Despite less than a fifth of its landmass is forested, two billion trees in Scotland continue to thrive from the Galloway Forest to Weisdale in Shetland and from Tentsmuir in Fife to Sunart Oakwoods. The future of trees has been helped by "Forests of Scotland," a sustainable forestry strategy of the government, and charity works like Trees of Life. |
