The article discusses the highlights of a seminar at the House of Commons on February 2009 wherein Souad Talsi, from Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women's Project reported on British Moroccans. The Moroccan community is said to be insular and isolated and reportedly needs to embrace true citizenship. The author says true citizenship can be acquired through involvement, equality and inclusivity. According to the author, in order to achieve this, those in power must educate to educate, empower and engage. |
