The article describes the case of an elderly man who underwent antibiotic treatment for serous retinal detachment and chorioretinal folds caused by Lyme disease. The patient, who had a history of tick bites, presented with a gradual decrease in his left eye's visual acuity. Oral amoxicillin and intravenous ceftriaxone were administered. It is suggested that Borrelia burgdorferi infection resulted in choroidal inflammation with secondary chorioretinal folds and a serous retinal detachment. |
