The article offers information on significant zoonotic bacteria in seafood, the use of antimicrobial and bacterial resistance in aquaculture industry and major seafood safety regulations and surveillance programs in Canada and their potential improvements. It states that human can acquire zoonotic bacteria by ingesting contaminate seafood or water. Morever, it discusses the use of antimicrobial in aquaculture, antimicrobial resistance, and regulatory framework for the industry in Canada. |
