Active Gaming: Is "virtual" reality right for your physical education program?

Abstrakt: The article addresses the concerns raised by physical educators with regard to implementing active gaming such as virtual bikes and martial arts simulators in the curriculum. Active gaming is revealed as an alternative over sedentary behavior as it makes exercise more engaging and fun. Video games are presented to motivate participation in physical activity as children find traditional sport unappealing. A variety of active gaming alternatives are cited to be available for a reasonable price.
