Abstrakt: The article discusses a study conducted to determine whether sleep-related cardiac sympathetic activity is significantly lower in Rotating Three Shift (RTS) workers than in Permanent Night Shift (ONS) workers. Twelve permanent night shift nurses and twelve rotating three-shift nurses were chosen as subjects for the study and results found no significant differences between them in terms of basic sleep patterns, but it found RTS schedule is preferable to ONS.
