The article focuses on the emergence of medical informatics in nursing in the U.S. in the 21st century. It notes that nurses and nurse practitioners can increase their comfort with the utilization of health information technology by acquainting themselves with the objectives, competencies, and intended results of the various types of healthcare informatics. It mentions that healthcare informatics allow dermatology nurses to access the advantages of the technology to enhance patient care. |
