The article examines the integration of sexual minorities in France and legislation concerning French sexual minorities. It discusses the French gay community in France dating to the French Revolution, legislation concerning sodomy in the French National Assembly, and what the author refers to as the age of tolerance beginning in the mid-20th century. It discusses the leadership of French activist Andre Baudry, the influence of the periodical "Arcadie," and the organization the Front homosexuel d'action revolutionnaire (FHAR). |
