| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses a study which examined the effects of transplantation of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells modified with brain-derived neurotrophic factor gene on a rate model of Alzheimer's disease. The study transpanted the stem cells into the lateral ventricle of the rat model. Results showed significant attenuation of nerve cell damage in the hippocampal CA1 region and increased brain-derived neurotrophic factor and tyrosine kinase B mRNA and protein levels in rats. |
