Prevalence of Tick Infestration in Cattle.

Abstrakt: The article discusses a research study which assessed the prevalence of tick infestation in cattle. The cattle were examined in the summer, monsoon and winter seasons and findings revealed high infestation during the period from march to June, particularly highest in the Chhatijhar village of Tikabali block and lowest in Mundasahi village in the Kandhamal district in India. Results showed the high susceptibility of crossbred cattle to infestation and wider infestation distribution in females.
