Abstrakt: Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) is a common and potentially lethal condition. Anticoagulation is considered the mainstay therapy while systemic thrombolytic therapy is reserved only for patients who are hemodynamically unstable. However, therapy for PE with evidence of right ventricular strain is not well-defined. We report a case of PE treated successfully with an ultrasound-assisted catheter-directed thrombolytic therapy.
