Abstrakt: The article focuses on the factors that impact California Brown Pelicans after their reproduction period. The study was conducted through pelicans resting on East Sand Island in the Columbia River estuary in California from June 2001 to August 2002, where various parameters that affect the birds were monitored including weather, density, and natural disturbance. Results revealed that 27 percent of the pelicans become vigilant due to disturbance while 34 percent of them roost depending on other factors like wind speed, precipitation, and pelican population.
