The article presents a study which examined the impact of gender, experience, and gender affiliation on the status balance and the resulting interaction patterns of cotherapists who preside over psychotherapy groups. In one group, summation of the three status-conferring attributes would lead to balance between the two cotherapists. Since the male cotherapist is dominant in this group, it was suggested that gender outweigh experience as a status-conferring attribute. |
