Abstrakt: The article presents the case of a 61-year-old female who was presented to the Uveitis Department in March 2004 due to loss of visual acuity in her left eye. She was diagnosed with postoperative sympathetic ophthalmia. She was treated with prednisone, cyclosporine, azathioprine and mycophenolate mofetil, but her loss of visual acuity was not totally controlled. The use of the monoclonal antibody infliximab combined with prednisone showed improvements with her disease.
