Abstrakt: | The article discusses how to grow apples in cold regions. The factors to consider before planting apples include the variety, the rootstock and soil condition. Some ways to protect apple trees from wild animals and pests are detailed. Some common diseases in apples are described including apple scab, European apple sawfly and codling moth. Several varieties of apples are also described which include State Fair, Red Baron and Burgundy. |
