Abstrakt:	Abstract: Seizures in the neonate are frequent and often the only sign of neurological dysfunction. They can be caused by a variety of conditions ranging from the benign and self-limiting to life threatening disorders. Several unresolved issues remain concerning when to initiate treatment, duration of therapy and what anticonvulsant medications should be used.
