Abstrakt: The article discusses the social and political unrest in Malaya following World War II, with a particular focus on the British Military Administration (BMA) officer Sir Harold Briggs' counterinsurgency efforts against the communist guerrilla organization the Malayan Races Liberation Army (MRLA). An overview of the ethnic relations between Malaya's Chinese and the Malays is provided.
