Abstrakt:	The author discusses the importance of quality early childhood care and education (ECCE) experiences for young children which he said has led to significant growth in public funding. He mentions that a growing number of legislators in New Mexico are interested in research regarding the effect of high quality early childhood programs and are increasingly committed to funding. He discusses the challenges for the state agency to continually modify its professional development system.
