Visualizing Pedagogy and Power with Urban Native Youth: Exposing the Legacy of the Indian Residential School System.

Abstrakt: The author offers observations on the Indian Residential School System (IRSS) in Canada. The author suggests that it promotes a racist culture and has harmful effects on Indigenous peoples and traditions in Canada. Using photovoice methodology, the author conducts a study with three urban Native youths to answer the question of how they experience the intergenerational effects of the IRSS in Canada.
