The article discusses a mineralogy-based acid design for restoring sandstone productivity. According to the authors, the selection process of candidate wells for acidizing treatments in sandstones should identify relevant damage mechanisms and mineralogy-driven remediation options. The authors add that production improvements need to consider the processing capacity bottleneck so that acidized zones must be those that produce less water. |
