The author indicates that postpeak oil production decline would be eased, but not reversed, by big jump in ultimate recovery. He notes historic data which show that more than half of the world's oil-producing nations are past their production peak. He also cites indications that a large increase in the estimated ultimate recovery (EUR) would delay a global peak in oil production by only a few years and could significantly reduce the postpeak rate of production decline. |
