Abstrakt: The article investigates the seroprevalence of the rabies in wild raccoon dogs in South Korea. A fluorescent antibody virus neutralization test is used for measuring the antibodies against rabies. Twenty animals of the 50 blood samples tested are positive in which the titers developed by the dogs to rabies virus are due to previous vaccination, inapparent infection, and presence of nonspecific virus neutralizing substances in the serum. The seropositive animals are distributed in many Korean cities such as Paju, Yangpyeong, and Goyang.
