Abstrakt: The article presents a study on the antimicrobial proteins and peptides of the mucosal layer of respiratory, reproductive and digestive tracts of indigenous goat and sheep. The researchers used disc diffusion method to study the in vitro antimicrobial effect of mucosal proteins against clinical isolates of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. They found the lowest yield of the cationic proteins per gram of mucosal epithelium in the goat intestine.
