Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study which uses autoethnography to assess issues and theories related to sports and gender. It states that existing literature and personal experiences were used to allow a sustained critique of gendered practices. Results show the prevalence of stereotypes in sports as well as the issue on the social construction of gender and gender roles faced by girls and women when they engage in sports.
