| Abstrakt: | The article highlights Arctic issues addressed by the International Polar Year (IPY) from March 2007 to March 2009. Member States of the Arctic Council and the Consultative Parties to the Antarctic Treaty urge cooperation and support to deliver the legacy from the IPY. The U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations held a hearing on the Global Implications of Arctic Warming in May 2009. Plans were developed under the 2009 Goals Report for the U.S. Arctic Research Program. |
