The article presents a research study on a surgical procedure to a 1-year-old, castrated crossbred male cat with urinary retention due to spinal cord injury after a car accident. A sphincterotomy was done when a urinary retention recurred after three months. However, a megacolon developed by four months causing the death after a enema treatment. The cause of recurrence remains unidentified. Alternative procedures are recommended to ensure the survival and of the patient. |
