The author stresses the role of nurses in policymaking and calls for advancing their health policy and advocacy skills, particularly with regard to the policy and political context of the 112th Congress. The author, in regard to the educational sessions covered at the 2012 Nurses in Washington Internship program, cites the importance of establishing one's health policy advocacy at both the national and local government levels. |
