Chapter 5 of the book "Rethinking Media Education: Critical Pedagogy and Identity Politics" edited by Anita Nowak, Sue Abel, and Karen Ross is presented. It presents a study which details the audiences' concepts on the lines stated in media, particularly in product advertisements. It cites the relevance of critical media literacy in understanding advertisements. The importance of criticisms in mass media is also mentioned. |
