The article focuses on the legislations regarding the family law of Virginia including marital agreements, visitation and the rights of the third party in custody with reference to the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA). It further discusses several case laws and the procedural issues in detail. It also discusses about equitable distribution, amendments to laws related to child support and spousal support. |
