The article examines issues and factors behind the fluctuation in prices of sericulture commodities. It explains the role of sericulture in the economic development of Indiais. Some factors affecting the sericulture activities are bad crop resulting in cocoon shortage and cheap Chinese imported silk. he article points out the close relation between prices of cocoon and raw silk. |
