This article discusses medication use in older people in the U.S. Older people in the country often have multiple chronic illnesses. As a result, older patients are often taking numerous medications. According to reports, most older patients are poorly compliant with prescribed medications. Other factors that may complicate their abilityto adhere to prescribed medications include physical and cognitive impairments. |
