The episcopology of the Church of Santiago in the Middle Ages has been developed in several times, in an unitary way or in several individualized studies for determined prelates. In this paper we present and analyze two new sources for the knowledge of the development of the cathedral and archbishops of Santiago de Compostela in Middle Ages: two episcopologies elaborated in the 15th century, one of the which adds some brief historic notes about the see of Iria in the high Middle Ages. We will consider the sources taked by his authors and we are going to locate both of them in the research about the archbishopric of Santiago de Compostela. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
