The article offers information on a study that highlights the genetic and antigenic characterization of bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) isolates in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It mentions the association of the isolates on a variety of clinical conditions including respiratory or gastroenteric diseases. Results of nucleotide sequencing, phylogenetic analysis and virus neutralization assays (VN) have indicated the circulation of the atypical pestivirus in the cattle population. |
