Abstrakt:	The article presents an auto-ethnographic study on the the ways in which male dance teachers are perceived by themselves and others. The study details the experience of the author and three other male dance teachers in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Particular focus is given to culturally constructed ideas of masculinity and femininity and the ways in which male teachers can challenge or reinforce these notions. Topics discussed include sexuality, touch, and teacher-learner relationships.
