The article discusses what are believed to be thousands of cluster bombs hidden in between houses and fields in the hills of south Lebanon that continue to maim residents as of September 14, 2011. Several southern villages are said to be affected according to the Mines Advisory Group, a British organization clearing landmines launched by Israel in its 1975-1990 civil war and its 34-day war in July 2006. It details the use of indiscrimate weapons by Israeli forces in the last days of fighting. |
