Prevalence of Inadequate Blood Pressure Control Among Veterans After Acute Ischemic Stroke Hospitalization.

Abstrakt: The article focuses on the lack of blood pressure for veterans who was discharged after an acute ischemic stroke attack. In the study by the Office of Quality and Performance Stroke Special Study, the authors analyzed data that contains BP control at discharge and BP control within six months after the stroke episode. They discovered that being African American, diabetes and history of hypertension were related to BP control at discharge, but all of them were insignificant after six months.
