The article reports on the move by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg to invite no clergy during the official anniversary ceremonies to commemorate the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the U.S. in mid-September 2011. According to Bloomberg, there is no invited clergy at the event because it is a civil ceremony. He criticizes the decision as an underestimation of the generosity of spirit of the American people. |
