The article discusses the success of As You Sow, a non-profit organization which aims at encouraging corporations to adopt sustainable practices through share ownership, in urging electronics companies in the U.S. to implement electronic waste (E-waste) recycling policies. It states that many e-waste recycler certification and auditing systems are developed as a result of these policies. Among the companies engaging in As You Sow's program are Apple Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Home Depot Inc. |
