Abstrakt: Physiological growth parameters were computed on dry weight basis from eight mulberry genotypes from the data collected from periodical harvests on 42,49,56,63 and 70 days. For calculating the growth analysis parameters with increasing growth period, the growth period 42-49 days, 42-56 days, 42-63 days and 42-70 days were considered: The selected mulberry genotypes varied significantly with respect to all the physiological growth parameters within a particular harvest duration. LeafArea Index (LAI), Crop Growth Rate (CGR), LeafArea Duration (LAD) and Biomass Duration (BMD) were found to vary significantly with the increase of harvest duration. Consistent increase was observed in cases of LAI, LAD and BMD. The study also indicated that LAD and BMD at any stage of growth and LAI and CGR at later stages of growth could be utilized for predicting the leaf yield while screening and selection of mulberry genotypes.
