The article describes two cases in which surgical management of elbow hygroma was performed in two tigers at Nandankanan Zoo in Orissa, India. The first case involved a male white tiger named JAGDISH which presented with a fluctuating swelling at right elbow joint. The second case involved a rescued white tigress with bilateral fluctuating swelling at both elbows. Surgical drainage was performed to treat the hygromas. No inflammatory cells were found in the fluid collected from swelling. |
