The article presents a study in clinical peer mentoring (CPM) where novices and mentors develop self-confidence, teamwork and collaboration abilities, clinical management, as well as time management and prioritization skills. Incorporated into the dedicated education unit (DEU) model used in the study is the situated learning theory which complements the CPM concept of collaboration and the colearning philosophy already included in the students' nursing curriculum. |
