This article addresses the author's opinions on the issue of women seeking high-level academic leadership positions in U.S. colleges and universities. She reflects on the importance of having the right qualifications and experience for tackling the job of being a university president. She emphasizes the importance of carefully creating a professional yet stylish look that begets her position and status. The author urges other women to be themselves while seeking to be academic heads. |
