Abstrakt: |
The article discusses a research study which described the development of a new finite element approach for evaluating the strength of clad or lined pipes through implementation of a bimetallic shell element combined with line-spring elements. Comparisons with Abaqus analyses have also been conducted. Findings for fracture under internal pressure and local buckling are presented. Also identified are possible limitations and needs for additional study on the proposed method. |
