Abstrakt: The article describes the mathematical generation of friction algorithm using speed skate thermodynamics (FAST), a new model of speed skate ice friction. A review of the related literature on the physics of ice friction is given. A correction to previous publication of the model which deleted the full derivation of the lubrication method is presented. Also described is the sensitivity of the model to the variation of physical variables.
