| Abstrakt: | The article reports that the prototype of the character Nino in the book "Ali and Nino," by Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli also known as Kurban Said is inspired from a Jewish girl in Ashgabad, Turkmenistan whom the author fell in love. The author's autobiographical sketch "Notebook of a Youth" suggests similarities including the girl's physical attributes, character traits, and intellectual concerns. Details on biography of the Jewish girl named Berta Maiseyeva are discussed. |
