| Abstrakt: |
The article presents information on a study which investigated cardioprotection with the use of therapeutic stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1) specifically for myocardial ischemia/reperfusion. Results showed that a single dose of protease-resistant SSDF-1 has proven a significant improvement in angiogenesis and ventricular condition despite the onset of ischemia. The results can reportedly be used as a clinical approach in preventing heart failure. |
